  Ok, after several days of fully focusing on testing the app we submitted the bundle to the app store. That means all we can do now is wait.

All our early adopters will get the chance to use it very soon.

Keep in mind though this version has only limited functionalities. The next update –  a very soon update – will include many other data fields, increased speed, custom IDs etc.

It will have  in APP – purchase functions.
And a very cool badge &  reward system.

Using MySchnipps to share data with a company

With the smartphone app MySchnipps you can share any details you want with a company even for 1 day. How?

Let’s say Max is going to the restaurant with his wife. They choose a new place to take lunch/dinner.
It would be enough to just give to the Restaurant his credit card, but there is more than bank account he wants to share.

Max has some special allergies to a special type of bread. He has all that info in his Schnipps ID.
So he goes to the Restaurant,  he just gives his Schnipps ID before he makes an order. He shares with the Restaurant only his credit card info and the food allergies.

The Restaurant takes that into consideration and Max enjoys a great time with his wife. Schnipps takes care of the rest.

When he leaves, back home he just delete the data from the restaurant if he wishes.

What can MySchnipps do for you?

Well, let’s say you are a freelancer or a student(use case #1). You work with many people, perhaps travelling a lot or relocating from time to time. You also sign up on many online shops, magazines, banks etc. So you have a lot of contact data to handle all the time: emails, phone numbers, addresses, office locations, not to mention birthdays or other type of notes about one person/company.
With MySchnipps you have all this contact data at hand and always in sync, without special actions from your part.

Next, you may have persons, clients or companies that you only need to share some of you personal data only for a short time, like a restaurant, car rental, a business proposal contact etc. And you don’t want this guys to keep your data forever, or share them.
MySchnipps gives you the power to request and delete that data(let’s say a phone number or all the contact details) from one of the above.

Now, take it the other way around. You could change your contact data very often, if you get a good promo from a phone company, or you move to Frankfurt(!). You want to be able to change this details about yourself in one place, one time – and everybody will have this data changed instantly. From your contacts in the address book, to the friends on Facebook, Twitter, banks etc. No more signed letters via mail, no more phone calls.
MySchnipps can also do this for you.

And if you finished a relation with a company/person, let’s say you wish they don’t have some or all of you personal data anymore.
With MySchnipps – you can delete this data from each of your contacts.

And in the near future, you will be able to terminate contracts with companies from MySchnipps. Yep, that’s true. From your smart phone. You terminate a contract with one click and Schnipps, the platform, will take care of the rest.

And don’t forget that on Schnipps your data is stored encrypted in such a way that not even us can peak into your details. Nope. The encryption is made locally and the encrypted data is sent and stored on Schnipps server.

- time stamp these declarations and use it in court if necessary

Our Mission: All my data in my hands

Schnipps is all about personal data, and how to put it into the hands of the owner. We provide an infrastructure, in which information can flow between users without worrying about eavesdroppers.

What are we building

Schnipps users decide what data to share with whom. We cache it on our servers in a cryptographic black-box. Not even we can decipher this data, and we take measures to stay ahead of the occasional hacker. Data security is at the core of our business. This infrastructure provides the basis for some interesting applications, that can in the long run substitute the current solutions to get personal data from one place to another: business cards, paper forms, phone calls and emails. You will not give your personal details out of hand, but stay in control over what to share and when it is updated.

MySchnipps, the smartphone app is the first step in giving back to the consumers the power to control their privacy.

The next step is to link our platform with the Social Networks, so you don’t need to enter your personal data there, but use a special link / profile to be used by the social networks fromSchnipps.

And the last step is to connect this community to the service providers / companies (B2C). That way, no company will use your personal data without you knowing that & controlling that. Also, we plan to help you get some more free time, by giving the possibility to terminate a contract from Schnipps.
